If you are a fan of actor Roy Bolger you might be surprised that he did commercials and in 1978 Safeway chose him to be featured in a commercial promoting their brand new brand Scotch Buy and the commercial is so cute with Roy Bolger singing a delightful song about Scotch Buy products in a cute Scottish accent and the commercial is somewhat like something out of The Wizard Of Oz. When you look at Safeway stores today Safeway used to have amazing products under different brands such as Town House Busy Baker Cragmont and Safeway Select and the only brand that exists is Lucerne that is still part of Safeway today. If Safeway brought back many of these classic brands including Scotch Buy the products would sell big today

I found another Roy Bolger Safeway Scotch Buy commercial where he talks about Scotch Buy products in his delightful Scottish accent. I wonder how Roy Bolger got chosen for the Safeway commercials? Because he was such a delight in them
