Hakeem used to be Larenz Tate's friend on South Central which used to come on the Fox network in the early 90's. Jennifer Lopez was also on there for a minute as the cashier at the muslim store. Niecy was Larenz's sister friend on there i think. Maia Campbell who played on In The House tv show with LL Cool J was also on South Central as Larenz's girl. Maia Campbell is so hot. Hakeem was also in the movies Tales From The Hood & The Wash. Niecy was in the movie Love & Basketball as Omar Epps girl for a minute. What is Hakeem's real name?

I remember it too. I recall one scene when Shar and Lamont were rolling around on Andre's mother's bed in one scene and then two fights broke out. I loved that episode.

This show was way ahead of its time. I have all the episodes on tape except the last one. Sweets was my favorite character.

Niecy was the best friend on Tasha on the show. She had a thing for Larenz's character but he dissed her so she ended up trying to get with his best friend which was Hakeem. Larenz came in and caught the 2 of them rolling around in his Mama's bed so he and Hakeem got into a fight, and Niecy and Tasha got into a fight.

I always thought it was ironic that actors from 'Thea' and 'South Central' ended up on 'Moesha'. Brandy and Yvette Wilson had regular roles on Thea. Marcus Paulk and Countess Vaughn were guest stars on Thea. Lamont Bentley and Shar Jackson were reoccuring characters on South Central. Larenz Tate's brother had a reoccuring role on Moesha as well as Niecy's flame.

I think it might be because all three shows had either some of the same writers or producers.

I miss those days.

RIP Lamont Bentley. It's sad that he died young. He got in a car accident right? Clifton Powell also played on South Central as the muslim grocery store owner that Larenz Tate's mom worked at. Clifton and Larenz have played in 3 movies together which were Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, Why Do Fools Fall In Love. I love Menace II Society and Dead Presidents which were directed by lightskin black guys that are twins, Hughes Brothers.
