Default Revisiting a Nickelodeon game show favorite Legends Of The Hidden Temple

This morning I checked out Paramount+ and in the Nickelodeon section I found a whole bunch of classic Nickelodeon game shows and one I discovered was the original Legends Of The Hidden Temple and I decided to watch the debut episode from 1995 and found it to be just as good as it did in 1995 and I think before Survivor Legends Of The Hidden Temple was like a kids version of Survivor and many of the Temple Games looked like something Survivor would have for challenges. Even the host Kirk Fogg seems like Jeff Probst and Kirk is probably who Jeff Probst modeled himself after when he hosts Survivor. The Olmec's Temple final round reminded me of the Double Dare Obstacle Course but with temple based challenges and puzzles and I can see why very few of the teams won it because it looked tough. But I do admit the team names were clever being named for animals. Now if they had the Gold Hawks or the Yellow Panthers or even the Grey Lynxes me and my partner would've joined the Gold Hawks if it existed if I played the game if it made a comeback today. I wonder why Nickelodeon decided to create Legends Of The Hidden Temple in the first place? Probably because to capture the success of Double Dare and hoped this show would do even better

I got to see the second episode of Legends Of The Hidden Temple this morning and I don't know why Nickelodeon made the final round so tough and to me as I mentioned in my opening post the Olmec's Temple round seems like a knock-off of Double Dare's Obstacle Course with temple themed elements in it and why they used actors to play the "temple guards" in Legends Of The Hidden Temple in the Olmec's Temple Round because even with the pendants known as The Pendants Of Life didn't help the contestants much and that's why the final round had few winners in Legends Of The Hidden Temple. I also learned that the show was produced by Stone Stanley Productions and it seemed to be one of their top kids game shows. Also what has Kirk Fogg done since the show ended because I never had heard much about him since he made an appearence in the Legends Of The Hidden Temple movie?

I saw Episode #3 of Legends Of The Hidden Temple and noticed that a team won the Olmec's Temple round easily and so i'm curious how many teams won the Olmec's Temple round during Legends Of The Hidden Temple's run? My mother saw part of an episode of Legends Of The Hidden Temple with me and she liked it as well because it reminded her of a kids version of Survivor but indoors. This game show was so cool for Nickelodeon so I don't know why they chose to end it in 1997. Why did Nickelodeon end Legends Of The Hidden Temple?

So far i've seen thirteen episodes of Legends Of The Hidden Temple and I find the show very entertaining. I did notice that on rare occasions they had a tiebreaker round on some episodes in which teams had to answer a question to break the tie and when the team answered correctly the winning team got to compete in the Olmec's Temple round. Was this done on rare occasions when both teams were tied? I think the most surprising part of Legends Of The Hidden Temple is during the Olmec's Temple round some teams think they have won the game easily but then the temple guards catch them and take their pendants and the same thing happens to their partner and they lose. Why did they make the Olmec's Temple round so hard to win and when you get the general picture the Pendants Of Life was supposed to protect the teams from the temple guards but I don't think it helped a lot

I wonder how many teams won the Olmec's Temple round throughout Legends Of The Hidden Temple's run? Because the weirdest thing is some of the teams get caught just before they get the prize and they either run out of time or get caught by the temple guards. Another thing I find shocking is that it seemed on every episode it seems that the red team and the blue team and the purple team always won the first challenge but rarely the green team and the grey team and the orange team wins it every time. My mom saw part of an episode of Legends Of The Hidden Temple with me once and she liked the show as well

Hi, Bestie! I think they should remake that game show. It was original and entertaining. What temple do you think they should use for a new version? I say a Hindu one.

I am almost finished with watching the first season of Legends Of The Hidden Temple and I cannot wait to see what adventures Season 2 will have next on Paramount+. I was surprised that the team on today's rerun had claimed the treasure but ran out of time while getting out of the temple. I noticed also that they were given a lot of Hershey's products for parting gifts and I wonder if Hershey's had a special deal with Legends Of The Hidden Temple?

Now i'm gonna start watching Season 2 of Legends Of The Hidden Temple on Paramount+ and can't wait to see what new legends will be featured on it and new Temple Games. I wonder why this game show never got a fourth season by Nickelodeon? Because it was a great classic Nickelodeon game show and Olmec is so funny with the awesome phrases he says to Kirk Fogg at the beginning of the game. Did Olmec have many more phrases in Legend Of The Hidden Temple's run? Because I have only heard him say "Let's Rock" and when I hear Olmec speak he sounds like Darth Vader and I think it's cool

I learned some interesting facts about Legends Of The Hidden Temple that I never knew about before and some of the facts were odd and weird. Like did you know that a contestant couldn't finish the Olmec's Temple round because during the game she felt ill and collapsed in the Pit Of Despair? And did you know that the temple guards are actually the spotters and writers of the show's episodes? And the final fact I learned is that when Olmec talks his voice is actually Dee Bradley Baker's but Olmec's mouth and facial movements are controlled by a puppeteer inside him. I was surprised when I learned these facts and since I have begun watching Legends Of The Hidden Temple on Paramount+ it was interesting to learn these facts

Now I'm starting Season 3 of Legends Of The Hidden Temple on Paramount+ and I hope that this season is really good. Like there's another thing that has always haunted me about Legends Of The Hidden Temple and that is why they didn't give the contestants more time to get out of the temple after they found the treasure and they should've extended the time limit so that the contestants could get out of the temple easily with the treasure in their hands. I mean there are no more temple guards once the treasure is collected and all the doors get unlocked and I found it weird that the contestants carry the treasure but as soon as they find the exit the timer runs out when they reach the exit with the treasure in their hands. Did the producers of Legends Of The Hidden Temple give the contestants the final prize anyway? Another thing is why did they have such prizes such as backpacks camping gear and bicycles as the prizes for Legends Of The Hidden Temple and the final prizes were always Space Camp trips cruises and trips to The Bahamas rather than Disneyland vacations or Walt Disney World vacations and Six Flags vacations too. Did the show have a low prize budget?

This morning I started Season 3 of Legends Of The Hidden Temple on Paramount+ and it looks like they did improve this season considering that it was the final season on Nickelodeon and the first thing I noticed was the intro of the show is different and the first challenge is different. But a thing I noticed was that the contestant teams now have the team symbols on patches on their helmets and Kirk Fogg now talks about the contestants hobbies in addition to their names. But I can say this season of Legends Of The Hidden Temple has now made the Olmec's Temple bonus round really difficult to win. Because I noticed that the pit is now a crossing and in the first episode of Season 3 I saw that the girl had trouble finding the correct door to continue and I cannot see how anybody can get across there. But the famous Shrine Of The Silver Monkey hasn't changed in this season but at the start of the bonus round I noticed that they give a temple walkthrough with a security camera and it reminded me of Hidden Howie segments. But I can see why a fourth season of Legends Of The Hidden Temple wasn't made and the show was cancelled. Probably due to the weak version of the bonus round don't you think?
