Default Lack of Markets that carry Rewind TV

It's been a year and a half now since Antennas TV sister station Rewind TV debuted and a majority of the country including me still doesn't receive it. How long before everyone that receives Antenna TV will receive Rewind TV? Are there markets that only receive Rewind but not Antenna? It sucks because most of my favorite shows like Different Strokes and Facts of Life moved over to that channel.

Thumbs down

Splitting into two stations was a big mistake with the sparse coverage Rewind gets.

Kansas City, MO still doesn't have Rewind TV despite having a Nexstar owned TV station.

Southern California has it. Seems like we’ve had it since day one. I agree though I think they shoulda just stayed with Antenna TV and never spun off RewindTV.

We have two Nexstar stations here in Indy and don't have the channel either. I agree with others who say they should not have split it off.

Lexington/Danville ,Ky's WDky channel 56 became a Nexstar station on Sept 17,2020.WDky has Rewind & Sinclair tv/s....Charge & TBD channels. No Ant tv channel on a Lex metro/micropolitan area tv station.Didnt get Rewind at debut date (Sept 1st,2021).Comet (Sinclair) tv channel left WDKY & Rewind came in Jan 2022.Beattyville tv station..channel 65 has Ant tv,but not Rewind. Was hoping Scripps channel 18/Wlex...Lex would get Ant when Me tv channel left Wlex tv station airwaves for a month ,but Me came back fast to Gray channel 27/Wkyt/CBS ,etc tv station.

Same here in Philadelphia. WPHL which is owned by Nexstar doesn't carry it but carries Comet which is duplicated on WPSG. Makes no sense. I've tried calling WPHL TV, the programming department but get an answering machine.I I left a message a couple times, and never got a call back.

Unlike Weigel and Scripps/ION that try to make their newer subchannels available in a market and on streaming, Nexstar doesn't. it seems like Nexstar started Rewind TV and then forgot to invest in with changes in the schedule and by improving access to the channel.

On Rewind TV, shows that I like include Family Ties, 227, Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life, Who's the Boss, Wings, It's A Living. I believe these should should at least air on weekends on Antenna TV, or if Rewind folds, the weekend schedule on Antenna can fit these Rewind TV shows.

Family Ties and Wings are both on Antenna and Rewind TV.

Diff’rent Strokes is also on Amazon Prime streaming, without commercials. Facts of Life is on Logo and maybe Pluto TV but it can be messy with how they air it there. Other option is dvd sets. But these options have drawbacks-monthly fees, random schedules, excessive commercials or use of dvds that require space, wear out, etc

I wish getTV would pick up Facts of Life, Diff’rent Strokes, Who’s the Boss and 227. GetTV has a lot of room on its lineup.

I have no clue on what’s going on.

Like I said in a previous post. Ever since antenna tv celebrated there 10 years. They seemed to have paused any efforts going any further.

They started Rewind TV but like this post has said it hasn’t added many markets.

Both antenna tv & Rewind TV are NOT being streamed anywhere. I feel like this is sad because both brands have the potential of being outstanding Channels.

With antenna tv deticating its programming to the 1950’s & 1960’s and 1970’s Sitcoms.

While Rewind TV is deticated to the 1980’s & 1990’s.

Unfortunately if Rewind TV doesn’t get more markets then sadly it’s going to be uphill battle for antenna tv to deticate its self solely on 1950’s & 1960’s & 1970’s programming.

It would be nice if antenna tv would atleast air it’s 1950’s & 1960’s All NITE Saturday NITE 6:00pm-4:00pm Sunday Classic block of the 1950’s & 1960’s.

Or Atleast bring some of the 1950’s & 1960’s programming to evenings Primetime lateNights and Special Marathon Blocks.

I found it on Verizon Fios in my area (NYC metro). Channel 462

For me the '80's was somewhat of a lost decade for sitcoms. The offering on Rewind were not on my list of show to watch. Yet I'm glad the channel is available for those who like that era of sitcoms.

In the last two years, Scripps/ION and Weigel networks became more available via national streaming feeds, but Nexstar has not made the effort with Antenna. I think Nexstar was focused on NewsNation. NewsNation was added to a few lineups, but not sure if anyone wanted it or people watch it, even though the channel positions itself as news without bias.

I was looking at feTV's programming schedule and noticed how much its content duplicates Antenna and MeTV, and Hallmark Drama and few other channels.

If Nexstar made Antenna available nationally at least to streaming and satellite companies like frndlyTV, Philo, DirecTV and Dish Network/Sling, it would diminish feTV's case for existance.

The FMC channel though seems desired by carriers more than feTV. Philo added the two only after it needed a replacement for MGM HD in their movies package. feTV's owners, while not on broadcast so exactly comparable to Antenna, have tried to make their channels (feTV and now fmc) carried on platforms, whereas Nexstar not so much or only focused on NewsNation.

I think Spectrum Cable in St Louis hasn’t been acquiring Rewind TV yet

We have it and I never watch it. It has tons of crappy “hammock” shows like Caroline in the City, Suddenly Susan, My Two Dads, and Just Shoot Me. The only thing that’s missing is Yes, Dear!

In Miami, WSFL-TV 39’s 39-3 is AntennaTV, but no Rewind.

In West Palm Beach, Rewind is shown as a “piggyback” subchannel (48-2 I believe) of WPBF 25. I cannot catch WPBF’s signal 100% of the time, but even if I did, Rewind to me is “meh” at best.
