Default How many people thinks Vanessa shouldn't have been on the Cosby Show?

Vanessa was unatractive, could not act, ******** hairstyles, what about that afro she had that was titled to the side? Where did that hairstyle come from? They should have found someone else to the character Vanessa-she was horrible-I think she is only character i did not like.

I didn't really like Vannessa she just got on my nerves everytime she was on the screen! I don't even think her character was necessary, besides fighting with Rudy, but oh well

Her character was alright to me. Remember her talk show? Hahahahaha her show sucked. It didn't even last long. Remember she had her hair blond? That looked so ugly. She's attractive to me. How old is she now?

I don't know if you remember Vanessa's Best Friend Janet Meiser-they should have given her the role of Vanessa Huxtable-she would have done a better job

I liked her better in the earlier episodes.

Family Ties Quotes:

Mallory: Alex, I told you whenever you take a message to write down who called, when they called, and what it was about.
Alex: I did. Somebody stupid called, sometime today, about something trivial.
Mallory: Alex, you know that could be ANY one of my friends.

Mallory: I know you came into my room and read my diary Alex!
Alex: Don't be silly, I just came into your room to get a book.
Mallory: Ha! What would a book be doing in my room!
Alex: *shrugs* She's got me there.

Mallory: You guys, I would like you to meet someone. This is Jamie Carter.
Alex: AHHH!!!! *jumps onto Steven's lap*
Steven: Alex, she said "Jamie" not "Jimmy".
Alex: *to Jamie* Oh. You should seriously consider getting that changed.

Jennifer: There is nothing like a smile from a hunk.
Mallory: I know, it's even better than when you walk into your
classroom and you see a movie projector set up.

Needless to say...I have to defend Vanessa. She was my favorite character and in my opinion just as important as any other character on the show! You may think Tempestt Bledsoe was ugly and lacking in talent, but I think she made the character of Vanessa interesting and funny...someone I could relate to. I can't imagine The Cosby Show without her!

I have to agree with you that she had odd hair styles at times...but it was the 80's and hairstyles were just plain funny back then. I knew at least three other girls at my school with the same slanted afro-hairstyle...probably copied from Vanessa. LOL!

Aside from her hair...the character was good. She had great sisterly chemistry with Rudy(My little sister and I were just like that. My dad even threatened to put us in the basement after he saw that episode of The Cosby Show, LOL!) I loved it when she tried to get by with something, because she always got caught. And her on-again/off again relationship with Dabnis was the only thing that kept me watching the show during season 8.

I enjoy the character...no matter what her hair looks like. There is more to a person, even a TV character than a hairstyle. But speaking of hair...I liked her hair in seasons 6-8.

The Vanessa character just didn't do it for me-I think janet meiser should have been Janet hutxable and Vanessa should have been Vanessa Meiser. Do you know was that red rash or something that was on her right arm- i noticed when it was broughtto my attention abot a month ago

For someone who doesn't like Vanessa, you sure seem pretty interested in her. Just Kidding!!!

I don't know what it is exactly. To me, it looks like either a birth mark, burn scar, or possibly some sort of skin pigmentation problem. I noticed it a long time ago...but it never really stood-out that much. She usually wears long sleeves.

She had that rash since she first started the show because she had it on her arm in the pilot episode when denise wouldn't let them in the bathroom. Its nothing seriouse, most brown skinned people are born with them on some parts of their body..it's hereditery.

And Tempestt Bledsoe isn't 29, shes 30. I know because her and my sister have the same birthday...

I was pretty sure she just turned 29. I saw it on Entertainment Tonight and it was in my local newspaper under celebrity birthdays.

If she was born on 1973-that makes her 29
