I have seen this episode a million times but a few things just dawned on me. Pumpkin (the pregnant woman) is the woman who has the hysterical panic attack in the 1980 movie Airplane.

Did you ever notice?
When Chrissy and Pumpkin are in the baby's room, they show a small child in a crib walking around. He has a full head of hair, fresh hair cut and appears to be around 2 years old. When Chrissy asks how old he is, she is told almost 1. Later in the episode Jack and Chrissy are bottle feeding an infant wrapped in a blanket. Clearly its a small doll because Chrissy is almost folding the doll in half as she is feeding it. The "baby" is bent at a 90 degree angle. When Chrissy is done feeding him, she lays him in a crib and throws a blanket over him

How did the toddler suddenly turn into an infant?

The grandmother who shows up at the end with Janet was the nurse at Terri's hospital in the later years.

Yeah, it’s 1978, I’ll give them a pass. The grandma and Janet would cross paths again years later when they meet Terri at hospital.

This episode was on last night and I caught a few other oddities. Several times during the episode they are carrying a fake baby and then in the next line its a real baby again. It goes back and forth the entire episode. I can only guess is when they shoot sitcoms, they do 2 shoots and edit the best of all scenes together. So the practice episode with the fake baby had a few scenes make it into the final cut. I saw this also on an episode of Gimmie A Break in season 2 when there is a baby in the house. A real baby and fake baby keeps going back and forth. The chief would have a line and have a real baby in his arms then Nell says something and the camera goes to her. When the chief speaks again, he's got a fake baby again.
Its also ridiculous when the grandmother comes over in the morning and starts giving Jack and Chrissy orders. She says "he likes cereal for breakfast" He's an infant who drinks on a bottle. He would not be eating cereal.
