Love Child, 1968 by The Supremes, a song about a Singer feeling guilt and shame that she was an illegitimate Child born to Parents who weren't married was incredibly relevant in 1968 as Illegitimate Children were still highly Taboo(And technically, the Singer who was like 24 would have been born in 1947, which was even more Taboo to be an Illegitimate Child but in 2023, with a large Majority of babies being born to unwed Parents, and there no longer being a huge stigma of being born to unwed Parents, and with more and more it's incredibly outdated. In fact, the numbers of Babies being born to Parents who ARE married is quickly going down in 2023.

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? by The Shirelles recorded in the early 60's. About premarital sex. I would say that the song is outdated nowadays.

Hmm. Toni Braxton has a song called Love Affair, which is about a guy who wants to have a one night stand with her and she's like,"No, I wouldn't respect myself in the morning and tells him to leave because he's starting to look good to her. That was in like 1992, much more recent than say 1962.

![]() Wake up, little Susie, wake up Wake up, little Susie, wake up We've both been sound asleep Wake up, little Susie and weep The movie's over, it's four o'clock And we're in trouble deep Wake up, little Susie Wake up, little Susie Well, what are we gonna tell your mama? What are we gonna tell your pa'? What are we gonna tell our friends when they say "Ooh, la, la"? Yes, times have changed!

Looked up the lyrics to Love Affair by Toni Braxton and she's saying she doesn't want to have a one night stand with the guy because she already has a boyfriend and isn't the cheating type. I thought it was more of a "I'm not interested in premarital sex," song, but it's actually a,"I'm not into cheating," song. The more you know.

I don't get how that song is outdated today? A Woman having a stalkerish crush and losing her mind with her obsession and following him to the Airport trying to grab his sleeve and accidentally grabbing a suitcase filled with drugs and ending up going to Prison doesn't seem outdated at all. Lots of Women have stalkerish crushes and lose their mind like that with obsession. Hell, Women had stalkerish crushes on Ted Bundy and were still sending him love letters after he'd been imprisoned for murdering Women! Susan Smith killed her innocent babies because she wanted her ex back who told her he was dumping her because she had children and he didn't want children. eek: I don't find John Foster Dulles song irrelevant today at all.
