"Some Like It Lukewarm” (a.k.a. “The Band Contest”), Episode No. 56 of The Monkees (prod. #4754, from 3-4-68), was repeated @ 7:30p.m. (EDT) on NBC.
Sponsor of the week was Secret/Maybelline/Pizza Spins, with the commercials shown being: Secret (:30), Prell Concentrate (:30), Maybelline (:30), Solarcaine (:30), Pizza Spins (:30), and Bugles (:30). But, as scores of TV history books have led you to believe, this wouldn't be the end of the original NBC primetime run of The Monkees' television series just yet. The next 2 weeks would see the show preempted on 8-26-68 by a Democratic National Convention and on 9-2-68 by a baseball game (Cardinals Versus Reds). |
