In two episodes that aired during season three of Saved By The Bell: The New Class ("Big Screech On Campus" and "Boundaries"), Screech--along with Mr. Belding, Rachel, Lindsey, R.J., Maria, Ryan, and "Tommy D."--paid a return visit to his alma mater, California University (aka "Cal U") as a nod to his continued enrollment at the Bay Area-based institute of higher learning (as true [SBTB[/I] aficionados already know, Screech had enrolled at "Cal U" alongside Zack, Slater, and Kelly in the autumn of '93 when SBTB: The College Years premiered).
Upon watching both episodes, I was puzzled as to why Screech's hulking residential advisor, former NFL player Mike Rogers (Bob Golic); anthropology professor Jeremiah Lasky (Patrick Fabian); or "Cal U's" tough-as-nails dean, Susan McMann (Holland Taylor), didn't make any appearances at all during those two aforementioned episodes...it would've been awesome to see Screech reconnect with and introduce Rachel, Maria, R.J., Ryan, Lindsey, and "Tommy D." to Rogers, Lasky, and McMann. And it would've been a hoot to see Dean McMann and Mr. Belding lock horns with each other in a battle of wits; I would've enjoyed seeing Dean McMann put Mr. Belding in his place while berating and belittling both him and his students. Enjoy your evening! |
