I was watching "I Dream of Choo-Choo Rabinowitz" episode where Fred staying awake for seven days to beat world record for the longest amount of time staying awake. I thought to myself that probably would be impossible, especially at Fred's age.
Maybe two or three days staying awake possible, but after that whether voluntary or not, the body wil shut down. Like when a Horse that hasnt had enough sleep will involuntary collapse and go to deep sleep. I am guessing guy that hold the world record for staying awake must have been some type of Monk or Budda that meditated for seven days ![]()

I think people have stayed awake for 100 hours. I've heard older people actually require less sleep than younger people.
I've stayed awake 48 hours once and it wasn't fun lol After about 24 hours I was exhausted, then I got a "second wind" and felt extremely better and thought "I got this!" then when the second wave of sleepiness hit me, I was scared I wasn't gonna make it home from work |
