I recall listening to a radio program on WNYC (NPR) and it was called "Hearing Voices." It was the kind of series that presented a certain topic per broadcast featuring montages of different audio clips with people talking about their life's experiences and/or anything they ever experienced, and/or people singing or chanting or praying, and/or different sounds from anything from birds singing, water gushing through a brook, the wind blowing, cars honking, people talking in different languages, (etc).
The program once presented stories and sounds and songs in recognition of labor day and the Ramone's "It's Not My Place" was played. Anyone recall listening to this broadcast?. I ask because I recall hearing one broadcast (and this had to be anywhere from the very early 2000's to approximately 2014) in which the topic might have been people's experiences in school, and /or graduation time. I do not exactly recall the topic but I do recall hearing a "song" that was not sung. It had a man's voice talking and the man's voice was robotic-like and he was basically giving advice to young people and at one point he said something to the effect about keeping touch with teachers and former classmates because later in life they have to refer you . Then towards the end of the "song" the man just said something about lettings your mind go free (something to that effect). This is the best way I can describe this "song." I do not recall much of the rest of the lyrics. If anyone has any idea what I am referring to, can you name the song or have any clues as to which one it may be? Maybe someone out there has an idea.
