Worst TV Shows From Each Year in the 1900s

If you want to put worst shows from 2000 on, see TMC's thread. I will try keeping it to no more than three shows from each year in my picks. epguides.com has a list of shows sorted by the year they premiered, but for the really old ones they won't have everything listed. For this thread, it is not about the worst season of a show you like but one you just don't like period or think would be terrible overall, and the year goes strictly by the date the series premiere aired.

1952 I Married Joan- Back when ION had more "infomercials", some shows listed in those slots were actually good classics like Ozzie and Harriet and The Beverly Hillbillies. I Married Joan was one of those "infomercials", once was enough for me on that one. It is one of the worst ever black and white shows.

1955 Gunsmoke- I am not a fan of any western, and this one remains the most overplayed.

1956 Circus Boy- Antenna TV used to air this dumb show.

1958 The Rifleman

1959 Dennis the Menace

1962 McHale's Navy- Not even Tim Conway could make this show good. the worst long-running black and white sitcom

1965 My Mother the Car- Jerry Van Dyke turned down the lead role in Gilligan's Island because he thought it was crap. Yet he starred in this turkey?
Please Don't Eat the Daisies- Movie with Doris Day was terrible. So I don't want to see the show with a lesser star.
Hogan's Heroes- good theme song but I don't care for the show

1966 It's About Time- good theme song, but awful show

1967 Good Morning World, The Flying Nun

1968 Mayberry R.F.D.- Color seasons of The Andy Griffith Show were bad enough. Now no more Andy/Opie, plus I didn't think much of Sam and Emmett on the parent show.

I will come back with the 70s, 80s, and 90s later.

1971 All in the Family- Everyone on this show was highly irritating except Edith.

1990 Evening Shade (great violin theme song but lousy show) and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (its success made awful rap music popular )
1991 Rugrats- never did like its comic strip
1992 Billy- what an insult spinning off the worst character by far on Head of the Class
The Real World
1993 NYPD Blue- It is bad enough so many cable and streaming shows push smut with a bunch of pornography and profanity. On a major broadcast network that is even worse.

1995 The Drew Carey Show, Unhappily Ever After

1999 Family Guy- too bad its cancellation was reversed
