Default Who are the victims you felt suffered the worst prior to their death?

Watching the UM episodes always makes me wonder what happens when the blanks got filled in. What were the final moments/days like of people who died? Who would have been in the scariest position prior to their death? The ones who didn't see it coming don't apply here obviously. Here are a few.

For me the three men who died - or were presumed to have died - off the Casie Nicole. Nathan Neesmith survived, but he barely survived. He was found adrift and he hadn't had water for 4 days. That would have been the most hopeless 4 days I think a person could ever have. But since we assume the other three men perished, I can't imagine their last days being anything but terrifying. Imagine not knowing whether or not a big fish was going to take a bite out of you. Or if or when you'd die of thirst or just drown if the raft you are on doesn't hold up. Or seeing both of your buddies die in the middle of the night in the middle of the ocean and knowing you are right behind them.

Sherry Eyerly comes to mind as well. She takes a shift she wasn't supposed to take. She delivers pizzas to a location that she can't find in a remote area. She's 18, it's night time, and then she sees the culprit come and get her and struggle with her with no one in sight.

If the culprits who admitted to telling the police that they were the ones who killed Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman it sounds like they had a horrific final few days. Just a classic case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time for Lauria especially. Then seeing men shoot your parents and then burn down your home. And then they still kidnap you and rape you over and over until they kill you.

Lisa Kimmel, from what I have read, should also be added to this sad list. So should Dan Short; Joan, Michelle and Christe Rogers; and Lynn Amos - especially if they were awake and alert as the horrible crimes against them took place.

Jeremy Bright, if the story about him dying slowly from an untreated gunshot wound is true.

To imagine what Lisa Marie Kimmell had to endure is terrifying. Tied up to a mattress in a creepy van and raped repeatedly for nearly an entire week. On the evening of the sixth day, Dale Eaton dressed her up in socks and panties and drove her 70 miles away to the Old Government Bridge. He struck her on the head with a lead pipe where she was then unconscious. He then proceeded to stab her with a large knife 6 times in her vital organs, then dumped her body in the shallow waters over the bridge.

How does one even begin to wrap their heads around that kind of evil?

Dave Bocks: let's just hope he was unconscious or already deceased when lowered into that furnace.

That banker that was tied to the chair alive and thrown over a bridge.

Joan, Michelle, and Christe Rogers (I honestly have a hard time watching anything about them or Oba Chandler), and Gus Hoffman.

You know the ironic thing is that we all know they suffered a horrific last day or so of their life. And especially being the last one to be taken advantage of and then tied up and thrown in the ocean would be horrifying. So that is just pure torture. And yet on the flip side I am sure they had a blast the last week of their life in Florida. They were at Disney World (which was just the Magic Kingdom and Epcot at that time), Kennedy Space Centre, I can't remember if it was Sea World or somewhere like that as well. Anyway, fun, fun stuff. Memorable stuff. And then a horrific finish.

As a kid when I watched this segment, Stack's description of what happened to them was obviously very horrible. But it wasn't until years later when this was featured on 'On the Case with Paula Zahn' did I really start to think about how truly horrific this all was in detail. Under the night sky, out in the bay where you can't escape or scream for help...what order did he go in? Did Joan have to watch her daughters get assaulted and thrown into the water or vice-versa?

Whatever order he went in or how long it took...it's chilling to say the least.

I've often wondered why the husband wasn't with them on vacation. I am guessing it was the obvious thing that he was working and couldn't get the time off. But man I can't imagine how much guilt he may be dealing with just because of that. This never happens if he is there, not that he is to blame of course, I mean who would know this. But I think I would hang myself after this happened if I were him. Kudos to him for not doing so.

These articles paint a portrait of how Hal Rogers and some of those around him were doing some time ago: https://www.tampabay.com/narratives/...t-to-lose-his/ and
