Original house from season 1 and 2 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The original LITB house on the old Republic Studios lot from season 1 and 2 existed for a long time after LITB moved to Universal Studios. CBS bought the Republic back lot and when they had My Three Sons move to California in 1965, you can still see the old Beaver house in various MTS scenes. Get Smart's final season also shot some outdoor scenes on the CBS backlot.

I never noticed the Beaver house in M3S -- I'll have to keep an eye out.

My Three Sons moved production to CBS in 1967, for the 8th season. Seasons 1 thru 7 were at Desilu.

Okay, thx. Whenever MTS switched to color and moved to Los Angeles from Bryant Park is when you can start seeing the old LITB house.

The old Beaver house was also used by Connelly and Mosher in some of their previous work.

Today I think it was the final episode of one of the early seasons. Where Beaver writes an assigned paper describing his father. At the end they are talking about moving into a new house where beaver and Wally will have their own bedrooms. Did they ever get their own bedrooms?

Nope, they always shared a bedroom, even in the new house, even though it was large enough so that each could have had his own room.
