Sad Sarah Michelle Gellar wants Buffy to Die!!

An article I read about Sarah & Buffy. Apparently Sarah wants Buffy to die when she leaves the show.

Sarah Michelle Gellar may kill off Buffy

Sarah Michelle Gellar says she will consider killing off Buffy The Vampire Slayer when she leaves the show.

The actress says she wants to "go out on top."

Her contract is due to run out at the end of the next series.

Producer Joss Whedon has previously said he thinks the rest of the show's cast is good enough to continue without her.

According to the London Evening Standard, Gellar said: "It's important for me to go out on top. I don't want to be part of a show that runs for eight years only for people to say 'That should have ended years ago.'"

Gellar is currently starring in the film version of Scooby Doo.

She has set to star in new film A Semester Abroad , about an American girl who travels to London to attend university.

Default somebody explain something for me

If Buffy dies, what happens to the name of the tv show? Will it still be 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', even though Buffy isn't on the show anymore? Or will they pull a new name out of the hat? The best example I can give to explain my question is 'The Andy Griffith Show' and how it went into Mayberry R.F.D. after Andy Griffith left the show.

Most likely it will be Dawn The Vampire Slayer. They are trying to get Eliza Dushku (Faith) to do a spin off. But they already let it out so many times Dawn would become the next slayer.

Thanks for your reply Silver Daze. I still think they need to shut it down completely. People may like Dawn as the Vampire Slayer. I have my doubts on that, but I've been wrong before.

Oh your not wrong now!! Most fans find Dawn annoying. When Buffy died last year fans were saying it should have been Dawn because she is annoying and doesn't have a place on the show. I think it would be cool if Eliza would agree to do a spin off. A lot of fans love Faith.

Okay, how many times can they kill Buffy in one series? It's been done to death (pardon the pun). If Dawn becomes the vampire slayer, I would certainly stop watching the show. I am one of those fans that feels that Dawn has no place in the series. She annoys me to the point that I will change the channel when a big scene with her comes on. The rest of the cast may be a good ensamble, but I somehow doubt they could carry the show by themselves. The only way I would continue to watch it is if Faith became the slayer. IMO, she may be the show's only hope after Gellar leaves since so many fans love her as Faith. Personally, I believe the show should just end if the star, who's name is in the title, leaves.

Hahaha... Just wondering, Ed, have you seen the WB's remake of Family Affair yet? I saw some of it earlier this week.
