Could Three's Company have lasted longer if the Ropers and Chrissy never left the show? Maybe 1988 instead of 1984?

It probably would have lasted less as long, in my opinion.

Mr. Roper was much funnier than Mr. Furley and chrissy was better than all the other blondes so in my opinion it would have been on the air about 2 or 3 more years.

I think it might've lasted one more season with Chrissy and the Ropers. It wasn't really the quality or the actors that killed TC in it's last season; it was "The A Team" and "Riptide" on NBC.

I dont think it would have lasted longer, didnt John Ritter say something to the effect that they were starting to repeat themselves, like with them hiding a cat from furley much like them hiding a dog from roper,i think the series was getting tired by then, maybe they should have ennded it a season before they did

I just never felt Mr. furley took the place of Stanely and that Cindy or Terri took Chrissy's place. I feel that if Norman fell and Suzanne Somers never left the show, it could have made a ten year run. See the ratings had dropped and the writing and producers was no longer motivated to come up with ideas because they was able to see that the show lost fans. NOw if three's Company was still number one in 82, 83, and 84-believe me the writers and producers would have found a way to maintain that number one spot.

How can you say that THree's Company would have not have lasted longer and the show fell from number one when chrissy and the ropers disappeared from the cast?

Well the Terri years still did pretty good. Being in the top 10 isp retty good for a show that was in it's sixth/seventh season, and the most sitcoms ratings dropped in the early 80s. They might've run out of ideas faster if they kept Chrissy for the entire run, but maybe they wouldn't, no one will ever know . . .

I just feel Mr.Furley was too feminine and that Mr. Roper was the best lanlord. Terri was too boring, atleast cindy was clumsy and chrissy was goofy which led to great laughs.

I agree. We will never REALLY know.

But... just because Norman and Suzanne would have still been there, or would have been better actors doesn't mean it would have lasted longer. Just look at all kinds of other GREAT shows that only lasted 7 seasons. Season 8 of TC wasn't exactly full of fresh and great new ideas, and it seemed worn out. Granted, I would have watched a Season 9 of TC if there was one, but other people who aren't big fans probably wouldn't have.
