She was born in the early 1980's in Russia. So as a child she was not exposed to the American 1970's at all or how ugly the clothing was. This is of course, my opinion but I dare say that a vast majority of people who lived in that era would say about the same thing. It did not matter if the person was rich or poor, their age or race, the people back then wore ugly clothes. Designer wear, same thing.
Not all of it was horrible but the majority of it was. Probably Kunis didnt see much of The Brady Bunch or other 1970's programming. So she had little frame of reference. |
