They are both on for Monday, January 2, and I'd love the Sun Gods to shine on us for those 2 big events.
I have fond memories of many Parades in nice warm sunny weather. And it's said that many would start packing up to move to CA... that was then, a lot has changed. Rainy and cooler weather is in the forecast for the balance of the year. |

If there is one thing that California needs, is rain and lots of it. The locals should rejoice when it does rain and want much more of it. If I was from California, and it rains, I will get my patio chair out and sit in it.
Concerning a football game? The fans should bring a raincoat or pancho. It does rain (and snow) at football games. There is no guarantee of good weather in an outside venue. |

The Rose Parade is one of my favorites. I remember as a kid my parents took us to the parade, and I remember people sleeping in their sleeping bags out on the sidewalks.

And yes, we californians NEED the rain but one day for that expensive parade and all the people that come from all around the world to partake, it's nice when they get sun and warmth. As I said the Sun Gods may shine on it and all the people. What were getting is rainy days off and on and no downpours, and No Cal and snow areas have a lot of snow and that is good for our water supply and all the millions who call CA their home.

Well, we got some rain late on 12/31 and what seemed could have been an all night rain turned out to be under an hr I believe. So typical here.
For the Rose Parade and game, I'm reading and hearing Sunny, cool day, could go into 60's, but no rain, so that is good. |
