Poor Nina Did Not Deserve to be Chuck Cunninghamed!

I got the complete series of Rags to Riches for Christmas this year. One of the best period shows I have seen, but with a major fault. The pilot movie had a really pretty redhead named Nina. But Nina was dropped after that with no mention even of where she had gone. The number of adopted girls henceforth was permanently down from six to five. Heather McAdam's career suffered after that, guest starred on some different shows but the only one she appeared in more than two episodes was Sisters. My mom thought Heather/Nina wasn't kept because she couldn't do her own singing like the other girls. They could have still had her lip sync, lead actor Joseph Bologna couldn't even do that much.
