How would you rank the Facts of Life Christmas episodes?
They are: Season 5: Episode 12 (The Christmas Show) Season 6: Episode 13 (Christmas in the Big House) Season 7: Episode 13 (Christmas Baby) Season 9: Episode 10 (It's a Wonderful Christmas) I would rank The Christmas Show as my favorite. It was the most original and funniest. 2nd would be "It's a Wonderful Christmas". That one borrowed heavily from the Phyllis Christmas episode and "It's a Wonderful Life". 3rd would be "Christmas in the Big House". 4th would be "Christmas Baby'. It's just corny. |

Yeah, the first one. Surprised the show waited so long to do a Christmas/holiday episode. But some shows just didn't do as many- Golden Girls, for instance, only had two during its seven-year run.
I lover when Blair says three's no place like Peekskill at Christmas, and Jo jokes that Perry Como is gong to film his next special there.

The Christmas show- funniest part is when Tootie says why would you want to spend Christmas with Mrs Garrett and the look on Mrs G’s face is priceless. Also love when Blair decides to stay in Peekskill and Jo yells put on another hamburger and Mrs G says what and Blair hides behind Jo and Mrs. G walks in and sees Blair and runs and hugs her, makes me cry every time I see it.

Interestingly Chloris Leachman has a Phyllis connection.

I totally agree with JoPol wannabe-live the name by the way-perfect description of that episode. What kind of Christmas is that-getting stuck here with Mrs. Garrett?! Tootie is totally mortified and has to quickly correct herself and say it in a nicer way. She almost sticks her foot in her mouth again as they are rushing out the door to make their respective trains.

My top choice has to be the "Big House" episode. Blair's episode-closing rendition of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" is one of the best I've ever heard, and never fails to bring a tear or 10 to my eyes.

It's a Wonderful Christmas had a very similar plot with the Phyllis Christmas episode. That one had John Lawlor in it. Mr. Bradley himself.
