Today my mom had a soup called Italian Style Wedding soup and I would like to know if anyone has had it before? According to my mom it has meatballs spinach and pasta mixed in it. I had never heard of Italian Style Wedding soup before so it was surprising to know about it. Is this an actual soup eaten at weddings in Italy where the soup name comes from?

Yeah, I've tried it. And it was tasty. But I can no longer eat it.
About 20 years ago someone mentioned that the tiny white pasta balls were supposed to confer fertility. And ever since then whenever I see it, my first reaction is "I'm not putting that stuff in my mouth" |

Italian wedding soup is really good. My local Italian restaurant has it.

On the Wedding Soup, I often buy Progresso Brand soups and they offer this one and in the past when I cooked and could stand in the kitchen I made my own and it's delish.
I often add my Progresso soups to a cabbage/onion soup I've made from scratch and the combined soups are great..... |

Italian Wedding Soup has nothing to do with weddings nor is it authentic Italian food.
You should use this thing called Google. |

This Italian traditional soup was made and eaten in most of our Italian families I grew up with including my own. I don't need google to know this.
