I’m about to quit YouTube - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just found out yesterday that a YouTube channel called RR was terminated and it had millions and millions of old The Young and The Restless episodes. Damnit, that was my only way of watching the oldies.

Why did RetardTube wait until a million f*cking episodes were uploaded to decide to terminate the whole channel??

Anyone shares my same frustrations regarding YouTube and the terminating?

So, did they get axed over intellectual property violations? (copywrite) .

On the web in general, I've been frustrated before when valued resources online that I've bookmarked, go "poof", making me regret that I didn't download a copy.

I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s related to that. All the other channels have been terminated: Simian Liner, Y&RFAN93, Y&RFAN94, Y&RFAN99, messylin, John Roberto, etc., and that was pretty much the only channel where I could watch The Young and The Restless clips AND episodes.

Well, sorry to hear of your misfortune. Years ago I had a single cartoon that I remembered from my childhood, "in storage" on youtube. I just had it there for my own amusement, was not promoting it for mass consumption in any way.

And whoever held the rights to it just stumbled upon it on day, and complained to the right people, and pfffftt! gone.

I believe there are services that just spend all day crawling the web looking for content owned by their clients, so they can either sue, or demand termination (depending upon whether the violator is a "deep pocket" or not)

Anyway, I learned the hard way to not use Youtube as "cloud" storage.
