I saw a story on The Smothers Brothers on CBS Sunday Morning and they showed clips of their hip and controversial variety show that debuted in 1967 and ended when they were fired by CBS in 1969. The show was memorable for Pat Paulsen's campaign for president and performance by acts that included The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and Jefferson Airplane. Anyone remember this show? It was a show that had their battles with censorship.

Yes, I remember. It was pretty good as I recall. Replaced by Hee Haw in the timeslot after it was canceled.

The Smothers Brothers edited out a part of this, would turned out to be the last show, since the last one didn't appear.
So much great comedy in just 2 minutes https://youtu.be/qigsXP9YWY0 |
