I have a question. When Jo was going to Eastland, her mother paid for Jo's tuition. Then later she had a scholarship to help to pay her tuition. In Help from Home, Jo said her mother worked two different jobs to pay for Jo's tuition. What happened to the scholarship for Eastland?

Maybe she only had a partial scholarship? The scholarship may have paid for most of the expenses, but her mom had to pay for what the scholarship didn't cover. Either that or the writers don't pay attention to what they write.

I think the latter is true, writers DON'T pay attention to what they
write on the show. But I think she did have a partial scholarship.

That is so very true. Look at the episode "The Little Chill," where the first season girls came back for a visit. The writers had Jo act like she didn't know Sue Ann, Cindy, and Nancy (Molly wasn't in this ep.). But if you look back through seasons 2-4, there were several times when Jo and the three girls were seen speaking with each other! Maybe the writers should have paid closer attention to what they wrote.

I think writers just forget what they write. They do it on a lot of shows.

So true on ALL accounts, LOL. The Golden Girls is another good example.
