Have there ever been any attempts by quiz show producers to directly copy Jeopardy! by using the format of giving the contestant the clue in answer form and encouraging the player to respond in question form? I am surprised this has never happened.

To the best of my recollection, fortunately (and thankfully) no. Jeopardy!'s initial format and overall gameplay remain so unique and innovative that any game show producer or production company would've been a total jackass to emulate or even piggyback off of both the enormous success and pop culture phenomenon Jeopardy! has become.
