Okay, here's the Question...

When Benson first came to the Governors Mansion, was he serving as a Butler or as the Financial Director?

I insist he came on board as the financial director while my less than knowledgable immigrant roommate insists he came onboard as a mere butler.

I know he was a butler on 'Soap', but I recall the Governor sending for Benson personaly.

Help us sort this out.... there's a $20reward for anyone agreeing with me.

I believe his job title was "Head of Houshold Affairs." Which would also in charge of household finances.
He was never a BUTLER on the show "Benson."

When Benson first came to the mansion he was neither. He was the head of household affairs, a management postion. That means he was in charge of all the maids and the cooks. He was also responsible for dinner parties and things like that.

Benson came to the governor's mansion as a butler, but was given the title Head of Household affairs. He did not become budget director until the third season. I know I was the producer.
