Name some words and phrases that you hate to hear and refuse to use because you just hate the terms.

Tweet The word or non-word I HATE most of all is 'Tweet"/"Tweeting". "In a tweet today, an official from.....‘ “Kari Lake, tweeting from her office....” Why cant we just say "messaging" or "message"? "In a Twitter message, Kari Lake said..." Everytime I hear "tweet", my IQ goes down a half a point.

App. Another (non) word I cannot stand I have to listen to every single day. The word is Application. Why cant we use whole words? App. I refuse to say or use "app" whatsoever. I say application. "I have this banking application on my phone." I wish I could edit out "app" from my Iphone.

Woke I hate this stupid term. I use left liberalism. That is what it is. "Woke" makes no sense whatsoever. If I am not "woke" am I asleep?

Vax and Vaxxed Made popular in use because of the COVID sham. The words are vaccinate, vaccination and vaccinated. Why cant people use these real words when writing down their thoughts and ideas?

Use of Metaphors. So many of these annoying phrases. One is "the tip of the iceberg". Why cant we just say "this is only the beginning." Tight lipped. "The police were tight lipped on the case?" Uh, the lips of the cops were tight? Too much liosuction? "Thrown under a bus" instead of just saying decieved or something similar. Bob did not literally throw Mary under a bus.

"It/that goes without saying....." then procedes to say what it is. This phrase has never made sense to me. If it goes without saying, you dont say it.

Script(s) and Meds. The words are prescription and medicine/medication. If a medical professional tells me "script", I am finding another medical professioanal. Meds isnt much better and dont understand why people dont use whole words.

More if people add more words and phrases you hate.

So. Joined in progress people. People who begin a conversation, "So I went to the store awhile ago..." Etc. Big with young millennial females.

Also big with that group--adding letters that aren't there: "I coulden't go. I woulden't go. I shoulden't go."

Irregardless is one that gives me a "fingernails on the chalkboard" reaction. Or people who inject a "d" into available. I hear people pronounce it "avaidable" on local tv ads and wonder how the heck they even got a job in that business by talking that way?

People in these here parts say "supposably" instead of supposedly. I was about to say it bugs me, but it didn't fail spell check--I looked it up and it's actually a word! Years of irritation for nothing.

I don't let small stuff bother me...but "anyways" irks me. A good smart friend uses anyways instead of anyway......I let it go.

The "F" word which is in constant use these days. In movies especially.

You even hear "jewlery" on professional ads.

Pronouns I/me--routinely misused. "Come on the cruise with Joann and I." NO! I'll go, but correct the grammar.

I get annoyed hearing ppl call Wal-Mart "Wally World" and St. Patricks Day "St. Paddy's Day" Its just SOOOOO overdone, and doesn't even really make sense
