Lightbulb First Time Flying

I went on my first flight on an airplane on the 9th this month to B.C. I just came back today. I was nervous about flying at first, but after awhile I think it's really lots of fun. I was also especially nervous after the events of September 11th, but I heard somewhere that Canada has one of the best airlines in the world, so that made me feel a little bit better about flying. I actually really enjoyed the flight and I think I'll want to fly again sometime in the future. The airplane reminded me of something from the exihibition, except more of a gentle climb up than a rollercoaster. Was anyone else sort of nervous when they flew somewhere for the first time after September 11th?

I wasn't that nervous about the Sept. 11th thing since this was in May I flew to Chicago Then To Denver...I really enjoy flying...I was a little more nervous about the takeoff then Sept. 11th...but the flight was fun.

Ditto

If it wasn't meant for me to get somewhere by means of a car or walking, it wasn't meant for me to be in that certain place.

Me too. Ive been on planes but freaked out every time. Last time I was on a plane I was with my friend and I dug my nails into his arm so hard that he had scars for months. Im even more freaked out to fly now tho after sept 11, just because everythings so stricter and suspicious.

I guess that's one of the reasons I'm also not going on the family cruise next year -- they're taking a big ship out in the big ocean. *shivers in extreme fear* Couldn't do that -- the ocean is big, that boat is overfilled and small....who would win?

The first time I flew was June of 2001. It was the best time I ever had. I love to fly.

I wasn't scared at all. My mom was like a nervous wreck, but I was peachy!

I'm still nervous about planes to the day and I do alot of traveling in the summer and it really sucks to fly. Last week when I was coming back from Florida from vacation one of the stops was L.A. then it would go to Sacramento and a man who had a turban maybe from Saudi Arabia was hasseled coming in and I was scared to death he was a terrorist and he went on the phone and was on it for about 10 minutes in silence. He wasn't a terrorist though but it was pretty scary, the plane went kind of out of control in the clouds though MAJOR turbulance my mom was telling me to stop crying and it would be alright but I'm terrified to death to fly whenever turbulance hits I go hysterical.

My first time on a plane I think was in 1998...I visited NYC. And I just spent 14 hours straight on one when I flew to China. I am not scared of flying and I've never been scared... not even after the September 11 attacks.

I've flown at least 75 times, ever since I was a few months old. I didn't start getting nervous about it until I was around 13 and ever since then terbulance has really freaked me out. The whole Sept 11 thing hasn't made me any more nervous, obviously since I've flown 15 times (no exaggerations) since then.
