Exclamation There's something about Mary...I mean Bebe!

Ok all you Bebe worshipers, it is I, Brian. I must know what is it that you love most about her. I want all you to name one thing that makes her the Diety or goddess that she has become. Is it her acting, singing, her looks? Do you like Bebe or the character of Lilith? Have you drank a suspicious glass of Kool-Aid recently? The "Truth" is out there and I must find it? I must break this power that Dr. Sternin has over her minions!!! LOL

It's her wonderful portrayal of Lilith, her singing, her broadway plays, and everything else she does. She's a great role model for aspiring actors/singers/dancers and was just sssssoooooo funny on Cheers. And from what I've seen of her in interviews she seems like such a nice person. She's not afraid to express her point of veiw and is so friendly and funny. I guess that's what makes her such a great person.

Break my power? HA! Never!!!! LOL

Just ONE thing about her?! Hello, it's everything about her. LOL How do you expect me to name one thing?

First and foremost, I love Lilith, but it's Bebe I admire, not the character. I've always admired her acting abilities since I can remember, but once I saw her in Chicago in the 6th grade, I wanted to emulate her! I was really into my dancing at that point in my life, and she became like my dancing goddess! LOL. I think the thing I love most about her is that I can relate to her in so many different aspects. The more I learn about her, the more I find I have in common with her. To me, she's just someone who I aspire to be like one day. Her sense of humor is wonderful and her modesty is something to admire. She's very humble and I find that refreshing. She knows she's good, but she doesn't think the world revolves around her. She does what she does for her own satisfaction and enjoyment, not for the glory and praise. She performs because it's what she lives for -- not for the fame. She's also a very private person and I think that's great, too. That just supports the fact that she's not out to be in the lime light, she's all for the art! I also love her "no review" policy. It's a great one! Reading them only hurts the performing, either way. If it's a bad review, it makes the performer insecure and they're not enjoyable to read. If it's a good review, it inflates the performers head and they lose focus and sight of the task at hand. I think that's a great rule to live by. Everything is so subjective when it comes to the entertainment industry. Everyone has their own likes and preferences, and whereas it's nice to have fans, you're not doing it to acquire them, you're doing it because it's your passion. If everyone loved the same thing, life would be so boring! So yeah... down with the reviews!

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!

Thumbs up

Everything that B said is true about Bebe. Another thing that comes up in our Bebe conversations is about her reachability as a person. She is the type of actress that is very human, and not at all "godlike". I remember that B said once that we don't look at Bebe as our "god", but as someone we can relate to on a human level. She is so accessable that way. She doesn't try to intimidate people to make herself look mighty. I also agree with B when she said in her paragraph about Bebe being humble. She is so talented, and everyone knows it, so why talk about it! LOL She is also very bright, and I love intelligent people. All of her interview are very profound and entertaining. Every interview I've seen she presents herself in a gracious and intelligent light. She is very witty. She is simply herself. She is brimming with talent. She is Bebe. ROTFL

I feel like I have to add my share to this. Yes, this is my first time to these boards, and no it will not be my last. When Cheers first came on N@N, my favorite was Diane, only because I was familiar with Shelley Long. But, watching it more, Lilith was my favorite. And now Bebe Neuwirth is one of my favorite actresses (well, for the past 3 days). She's a great actress and I give her credit for that.

By the way, hi y'all, I'm Kaitlyn.

For some strange reason, I feel like I, I, I LOVE BEBE NEUWIRTH!!! LOL

Only kidding, but seriously, I think she's a marvelous talent. I just can't understand how rapidly the Bebe fans grew overnight. That's why I wanted to see what was it about her that makes her so beloved and respected.

HAHA, Brian! It's the aura... I sent off major Bebe vibes and they're contagious! Perhaps I'm just a very persuasive person. Who knows? LOL

And yes, exactly what Alanna said! She's a person, not a "star." She's very real. That is attributed to her humbleness, I think.
