Yesterday, October 29, marked the 75th Birthday of Richard Dreyfuss.
That being said, I wonder if he's any kinfolk to Julia Louis Dreyfus of "Seinfeld."
Though I can officially say he's NOT her father (contrary to rumor when she announced her dad, Charles, had just died after receiving an Emmy), it IS plausible they could be, at the very minimum, distant cousins, considering they're both New York City born-and-bred (in Richard's case, he's mixed Jewish, of Hungarian and Austrian background, not sure if Julia is Jewish like him).
Granted, I could be wrong about my theory--and if I am, I humbly apologize, My Mea Culpa, in advance--and if so, please correct me in response.
Julia will be 62 in January, after the New Year, so Richard Dreyfuss (who added an extra S to his name professionally when he became an actor who registered with SAG-AFTRA) would have been 13 when Julia was born--and thusfore way too young to LEGALLY be her father even if he was her dad.
Anyhow, my theoretical conclusion to my wonder is that, theoretically, it IS possible that Richard Dreyfuss & Julia Louis Dreyfus are DISTANT cousins.
Story highlights. Check the spelling, tweeters: Richard Dreyfuss is not Julia Louis-Dreyfus' father. “Veep” star Louis-Dreyfus tearfully shared during her Emmy acceptance speech that her father, William Louis-Dreyfus, had passed away on Friday.Sep 19, 2016
