Post New threads...

Is it just me, or does it seem like there aren't nearly as many new threads on this board as there used to be? I swear there used to be at least 5 new ones a day, but now I only see about one or two per day. Is everyone posting on older topics more often or something? I would have thought the board would have picked up more since FOL's back on TV.

I think it's the fact that not everyone gets Hallmark. Most of us (except me for like most of it's run) had N@N to watch FOL. But now like half of us don't have Hallmark, and I think people with Hallmark don't want to bring up topics like that to spare the people who don't have Hallmark feelings. I know it sounds dumb, but it might be the case.

makes since...I just prefer to get out the dancing cucumbers...

pepino bailari'n Pepino Bailari'n...baiiila baila ya!

I have the best of both worlds, I don't have hallmark, but I know someone who does, so, I know what it's like to not have Hallmark, so I sympathize with those people, and yet, when I get a new fol tape form Hallmark, then I get to know what it feels liek to watch it. Best of both worls!! Baila!!Si!!

Old topics are pretty cool though...I mean, it's great to look back a year or more and see what people were posting!

Yeah, I was just thinking that this board is moving kinda slow. I was thinking that one reason may be because when FOL 1st came on N@N, people were younger& maybe related more to it then they do now. I never thought it was cause not everyone gets Hallmark, but that's probably the main reason.

I noticed that too, there is not many people that post new threads, or people pull up old ones, I agree that it could be the fact that many people don't get Hallmark, and I guess Its a reason to celebrate If everybody did. But I guess Its just slow, because I know that there isn't any events featuring The Facts of Life Cast But recently The Facts of Life Reunion Show, and The Rerun Show, and Kim on Millionaire, and Mindy on Weakest Link, aired and I guess there is not many Facts of Life happenings. And I noticed that many members that recently post here are gone, or left. But I don't really know, why there aren't any new posts recently.

You got a point about the not having Hallmark I wish they would put the show back on N@N. Even though I have Hallmark I wish it was back on N@N so the people that don't have Hallmark can see it.

I think we're missing the obvious here...

How much more can be said about the show?

Hairstyles, scripts, emotions, trivia, walking, talking, where are they now?, who did this, who did that, blah blah blah...

We've hit all those points.

I'm not saying that's the only reason, but I think it's the primary one. And since many of us do not get Hallmark, we can only rely on our tapes. And those tapes do become common as we re-watch the show, and eventually we know the exact height of the cafeteria tables or the price of a squiggle pen at "Over Our Heads."

So no, we're not dying out here. But we're coming to the point where we've said all that we can say. That's why it's fun to bring back the old topics... they revive the situation and also show how obsessive we are about the show. Plus, cool things that happen can be forgotten about until someone pulls the post back up from the grave. Then, it's all "ooohs" and "aaaahs."

Does this make sense? I'm tired, it's Friday, and I'm over work.

<--supposed to be a yawn...

Something else that I have noticed lately is that the "Continuation" post is always growing, but the others have died out. I think the trend is to get into the acting out of the show. That's not really for me, although I don't knock it for anyone.

It just seems that it is the post getting the most attention.

I'm all for bringing back old topics!

Yep. You do have a major point there. Not many on here gets Hallmark, and it sounds like everyone has got all the mini details out. I used to participate on the board that did that. Everybody already made the main points of the show and the people that did that started to leave. I check in every once in awhile to the board, and the topics don't interest me because of the fact I've already read a discussion like that before.
