Hi,

I am looking to replace in my collection where I have cut/syndicated episodes of Marcus Welby MD - if anyone, particularly our Canadian friends, has these in uncut/complete form, please send me a PM/email, I'd be interested in trading with you.

Here are the episodes I am looking for, incl times/source that I currently have:

S05E05-The Light at the Threshold-52:37 incl TV Land ads

S05E23-I've Promised You a Father Pt 1-43:58-TVL

S05E24-I've Promised You a Father Pt 2-43:59-TVL

S06E03-Last Flight to Babylon-54:58 incl TVL ads

S06E07-A Fevered Angel-56:13 incl TVL ads

S06E08-Feedback-43:46-TVL

S06E15-Dark Fury Pt 1-43:56-TVL

S06E16-Dark Fury Pt 2-44:53-TVL

S06E18-The Time Bomb-56:28 incl TVL ads

S07E15-Strike Two-45:23-TVL

I have just now gotten into Marcus Welby MD on youtube. I would love to have the whole collection on DVD if anybody is willing to make it.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't notice but it does appear someone has posted quite a few episodes to Youtube, unfortunately it appears their copies of the above episodes are the same as mine.

This would be a great series to have. IIRC only a couple of seasons made it onto DVD.

I have the Dark Fury and Time Bomb episodes. I will look and see what the length is. I just got the Dark Fury earlier this year.

I have those episodes from a Canadian Channel. However, I don’t think they are uncut.

I can only imagine that the DVD's of Marcus Welby were discontinued after two seasons because sales were below expectations. On the positive side, Medical Center is complete on DVD and all seven seasons are available.

I got my initial set of episodes from you, MRPITT, thanks again, so unless you have acquired more/different, the set I have from you is mixed with some Canadian and some TV Land, these 10 just happen to be the TV Land cut versions. Most I have seen from that Canadian channel are uncut.

Yes, I would imagine that the sales must have been well below expectations back in 2010 or whatever, from what I read, normally a licensing agreement to Shout (which i believe this was) is for the entire series, so it must've really tanked for them to have possibly paid for all seasons and given up after two.

Gonna have to disagree. If Medical Center and Emergency could release all their seasons and sales do alright, there's no reason why an Emmy winning medical drama like Marcus Welby, M.D. wouldn't do just as well. I've seen SO many obscure series released to DVD that I'm not convinced are just flying off the shelves that would justify withholding the full release of MWMD. When someone uploaded seasons 3 through 7 on YT, a ton of fans (myself included) were ecstatic, until some noob somewhere had them yanked. The fan base is out there (albeit getting older) so there's no reason why they can't release the entire series.
