Does anyone know an Opie?
How do you think he got that name? Could his name actually be a form of O.P., as in O.P. Taylor? |

There was a character named Opie Swanson (Dub Taylor) on Dennis the Menace and Ron also appeared as Stewart. I thought the name may have come from that.

Opie was named after someone that Andy Griffith knew in show business, a bandleader I believe.
