Default Bad Dogs! Amazon Driver Mauled to Death

You wouldn't hear this kind of story about cats since they don't need to go outside and are generally much smaller.

LOL, I had a Siamese cat when I was a teenager who bit quarter sized chucks out of my thigh, and attacked our neighbor lady once.

Neighbors had a female Siamese, drove my male crazy.

We had a Siamese that would hang out in the rafters of the garage and when I would come out, pounce on me and scratch me. Dad gave her 3 chances, then to animal control, she went.

A neighbor from years ago had a Siamese--one strange cat. There's a breed I wouldn't go near.

Today I heard the neighbor's Setter barking like crazy in their house (I was outside). He was barking because someone was walking a dog on the street.

Stupid dog.

The driver was not an Amazon employee. The driver wore an Amazon uniform in a truck with the Amazon erect penis logo on it and Amazon monitored and taped every second of the driver's activities all day, but the driver was a "contractor", which means that Amazon isnt responsible if the driver gets hurt or killed. Not that Amazon is liable here, the owner who has a dog that attacks people is, and hopefully the owner will be arrested for manslaughter charges.

I wish people would just go out and buy their items in stores and support their local economy. If nothing else, for the exercise. I never understood the concept of ordering something online and then waiting by the door for it to come (and for me having to wait so it doesnt get stolen (there is a HILARIOUS) Youtube video of a fat black kid stealing a box of a porch just for the package to explode on him, knocking him on the ground and the owner (another black) yelling ebonics at the thief calling him the n-word with the fat black guy stumbling about denying blame.

If everyone buys from Amazon (who has taken over the market of all online retailers because there can only be one), then all the stores in the community will go under and everyone will be forced to use Amazon for everything online, with most people having to work in their sweatshop warehouses running about like headless chickens to meet impossible quotas just to be fired/laid off after three years because the disgusting billionaire owner stated that "people get complacent after three years". Then having the delivery drivers be "contractors" so the corporation has no liability.

It's like the Guilded Age again.

I buy from Amazon maybe 4-5 times per year. And when I do, it's mostly because I can't find exactly what I'm looking for in local stores. You know that blank stare you get from store clerks anytime you ask about any product that isn't already sitting on the shelf? Joe Storeclerk doesn't have the authority to order anything that isn't coming on the truck already...so I find Amazon as a convenient way to get past the blank stare.

And then there is the credit card thing. If I ordered from 5 small independant operators every year, in 5 years that would be 25 people who I have no clue as to their honesty having my personal data.

Centralizing that with a single entity having their reputation to protect, gives me comfort.
The only thing I really hate about Amazon is the exposure to porch pirates.

Lately Amazon has been partnering with local businesses to provide safe destinations for one time delivery, that I need to become more familiar with...sort of a one-time PO Box, just for given orders
