This is the thread for my sitcom (it’s not a thing on television, just something I’m devising in my head until I come up with more and possibly post it in Fan Fiction) titled “Keeping Up with the Fallons”. An adaption of my project in Fan Fiction titled “A Fallon Family Funeral”, Keeping Up with the Fallons is about Alan Fallon, Connie Bodine, Carter Fallon, Marilyn Fallon, Jake Fallon, and Ciara Fallon all living under one roof in Pensacola, Florida as they go through situations where either hilarity or sadness ensues and occasional trials and tribulations. While it is a comedy with rather slapstick and more lighthearted elements, it does have some “dark and heavy sides” to it.
I’ll work on more at another time but for now all I did was come up with the main characters and the premise. I can say, though, that despite being brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Marilyn kinda have this Fred vs. Aunt Esther/Martin vs. Pam kinda relationship. Also, if this thing were ever sold (not to say that it will ever be), I could picture actress Sean Young playing Marilyn. |

UPDATE: I’ve decided to add two additional characters to this show - Katie and Jacob, two kids who Jake and Ciara adopt.
Anyways, without further ado… Let’s Meet the Fallons… The Characters: Alan Fallon: He’s the show’s protagonist who is proud about being a saved and changed man. Despite being a nice, caring, loving, and thoughtful elderly man, Alan often bickers with and makes fun of his sister-in-law, Marilyn and his daughter’s boyfriend, Cox. Alan is also characterized as being somewhat simple-minded and naive and is also potbellied. It wasn’t until later in life that Alan learned that Connie was his daughter as a result of a prom night escapade with Connie’s mother, Thelma Bodine. He also wears outlandish leisure suits, in very loud colors, along with rather cheap-looking clothes made out of polyester. Alan is a widower who’s wife died years ago. Connie Bodine: Connie is Alan’s middle aged daughter with Thelma. Despite being a religious, nurturing, and sympathetic woman, she easily gets out of control with her feelings like her mother whenever she gets upset. Connie is a widow and a mother of three. In Thelma’s Family Crisis (another project of mines), a man by the name of Willie Hudson claimed to be Connie’s real father but turned out not to be after all. Carter Fallon: Carter is a no-nonsense, formal, irascible, and family-oriented man, a former man of the military, the husband of Marilyn, and the younger brother of Alan. Marilyn Fallon: Marilyn is the sassy, fun-loving, larger than life sister-in-law of Alan and the wife of Carter, who has been married to him for over 30 years. Alan and Marilyn have an adversarial relationship, and Alan usually insults her, which makes her respond in anger. Jake Fallon: Jake is Alan’s levelheaded nephew, and the owner and cook of The Lunchbox, a restaurant in Pensacola. He and his wife Ciara decided to become adoptive parents to Katie and Jacob. Ciara Fallon: Ciara is Jake’s beautiful wife who is a waitress at The Lunchbox, where her husband is owner and chef. She and Jake decide to begin their big happy family by adopting Katie and Jacob. A running gag is that Ciara “can’t cook” and everyone tries to prevent her from trying to. Katie: Katie is Jacob’s teenaged, street smart, somewhat self-absorbed sister who’s a foster child and comes from a very toxic and tragic environment. Katie is a very intelligent young lady but she doesn’t apply herself and often hangs around “the wrong crowd”. Jacob: Jacob is Katie’s 8 year old brother who is kind of distrustful yet wants to find a good and stable home. Even though Jacob and his sister don’t always get along, they try their best to look out for each other and show each other love in the end. I’ll come up with more later. |

So, the network wants to use your show but change it up a bit. To make it a diverse cast for today's audience, they introduce a few persons of color, as co-workers, neighbors and in-laws, including one non binary gender as well, in their lives.
