Just discovered this show the other night!

I just discovered this show on you tube while watching Phenom episodes. This deserved a 2nd season! NBC was not that good after 1992 for family shows, really...They lost pretty much everything by the end of the 1991-1992 season that was on in the 1980s. Had this been a hit it could have lasted into the mid 1990s. However, it was an orphanage, kids grow up, they leave after 18 if they aren't adopted...it would have changed a lot or been weird to see the same 7 kids over and over. Maybe keeping them onboard as workers or something for free room and board once they were 18? The theme was amazing. The two youngest actors were the best in it. They stole the show.

Stephanie had just been let go from Dynasty as it was cancelled, or maybe she was leaving anyway before the end of season 9 and got this before they knew they had been cancelled...She was good in the part of Sister Kate.

I didn't really care for the grown up kids. Jason Priestley was okay, and the actress who played the caveman in that episode of Dinosaurs, but the girl in the wheelchair was so underused. She had like so few lines per episode. I was reading the episode guide and she did get an episode of her own, but the ones I'm seeing online so far...she has very little to do.

They should put this on streaming in HD. Love to see all the episodes!

The good thing is Jason got 90210 after this ended. This may have been his first major role, right? But 90210 he will always be remembered for.
