I was watching the episode where Lamont was going to get married but got rejected (Here Comes the Bride, There Goes the Bride). Afterward the relatives showed up at Sanford telling Lamont the bride wasn't right girl for him.
But apparently they also showed up to get their wedding gifts back. And we are talking about cheap gifts such as toaster, tablecloth and curtains, etc.. So instead of feeling sorry for Lamont and try to pep him up, they were arguing as which gift belong to whom. Talk about relatives from hell ![]()

I just saw that one a night or two ago, and it is one of the funniest episodes. It is also like the only second or third episode of the first season. Unfortunately Aunt Esther wasnt in it.
But yeah, the relatives were awful. |

This episode was based on the Steptoe & Son episode called "And Afterwards at . . ." and much of the dialogue is exactly the same. The ending is slightly different.
