Question You ever experience paranormal activities or seen ghosts

As Halloween approaches, I thought it might be fun to share scary or creepy stories we may have experience or encountered.

The scariest thing that happened to me was when I was younger and living alone. One night I was watching the movie Exorcist and it was getting to the scariest part where old priest show up to do exorcism on the possessed young girl.

All of sudden, the whole neighborhood went dark as electricity went out. Me being a sissy and already scared sh*tless due to watching the movie, jumped up, grabbed a pillow and went to my car and spend the night in my car until morning.

There was no way I was going to spend the night in total darkness in my room with images of that movie rushing thru my head.

I think that it's possible for us to talk ourselves into believing just about anything. I've seen some odd things happen that are hard to explain any other way than "supernatural"....but never discount the possibility of coincidence.

I remember when I was a young adult I got interested in astral projection, tried to use it to remotely plant thoughts in another person's head. And a couple times it seemed to work. kinda spooky actually.

And there was a grandmother that I had a troubled relationship with (we were both spoiled brats basically, but she just wasn't ready to pass the torch)....And like 30 years after she died I went to the cemetery to pay respects to mom and dad....and just got this wild whim to go over to another part of the same cemetery and tell "granny" that I was sorry.....and the notion of "sorry" had just barely cleared my noggin when I heard this wind rustling up in the trees......and I was immediately pelted with DOZENS of acorns.

So, I could theorize that was granny, getting the last laugh.....or I could say "wow, what a coincidence".

I am in the same boat as you as to whether believe things that happen out of ordinary is a coincidence or there was something else we don't understand. Although I am not a religious person, I do believe there are things happening out there that is beyond our understanding.

Well, now you've opened a new can of worms. Yes, I agree whole heartedly that there is more going on "behind the scenes" than we understand. And highly suspect that in our eagerness to make sense of it all the story has been distorted and embellished.

Being the vain creatures that we are, I guess it's only to be expected that we assume our own significance?

Makes considerable room for skepticism, IMO..... whenever people start telling ghost stories, holy or otherwise.

I believe that sometimes our own conscience plays tricks on us, too.

If I steal money out of the office coffee fund, others might be aware of the shortage, and wonder who is responsible. And my own behavior might tip them off...but then I blame "god" for calling me to the carpet....just as a simple example.

In more complex examples, we might rationalize that the added complexity (of our downfall) only proves devine intervention, all the more.

Nope. But I have an orange tabby cat and I was told that as long as I have him a paranormal would not land on my nose. So...

Yes. I have seen and had numerous things happen, too many to mention. But to name a few -

The chain on my blinds kept swinging back and forth. It would slow down and then pick up speed. I told it to stop and it did.

My mail key, I always keep in a certain spot. One day couldn't find it. I had a spare. Days later my mom picked up a box off the carpet in her bedroom. The key was there.

Years ago, I was in my bedroom and felt my shirt being tugged on. I turned around, nobody was there.

My parents used to put their prescription bottles on top of the fridge. One night I woke up hearing what sounded like someone shaking the bottles. I was too scared to get up, but my brother came to my room and asked if I was awake, and I said yes. He said do you hear that, and I said yes. He walked towards the fridge and the noise stopped.

Those are just a few experiences.

We had an orange tabby when I grew up ("George") and he lived to be 21...no paranormal landings for us, either.

I could never explain this.

When I was younger and living in an apt., sometimes I'd watch a friend's son so she and her boyfriend could have some alone time. Someplace he managed to get hold of a star shaped small weapon called a Shuriken.

He threw it in my apt. and it landed on a short wall between the kitchen entrance and the hall. It made a small mark on the wall and I told him not to do that again. This was around 1982 and I lived in apt. F.

A few years later, around 1985, I had moved and my mother moved into apt. H. The apt. entrances were arranged in a square shape. Apt. E entrance was on one side, F and G were at the back, and H was on the other side, across from E.

My mother died in late 2017 and her friends and I were cleaning out her apt. in Jan. 2018. A lot of these details are irrelevant--sorry--but one more detail is that her apt. was a slightly different design than mine but it still had that same short wall I described in my apt. But in hers she had a large cabinet which totally covered the wall.

When we moved the cabinet there was the same mark on the wall, just like the one my friend's son had made when he threw threw the shuriken in a different but nearby apt.--36 years before.

Yes -- coincidence -- but very strange.
