Hi, I apologize if these types of posts are not allowed, but I've exhausted every other avenue.
My most favorite case Unsolved Mysteries has ever profiled has been the Cindy James case. I am looking for any way to read Neal Halls' book "The Deaths of Cindy James" I see on here, just 5 years ago the book was selling for ~20$. Not sure what has happened in the past 5 years but now, all copies I can find on Amazon or eBay or any other site go for 100$+. (But, living in Canada, after shipping and conversion and other fees it's looking more like 200$ CAD). So, I was wondering if anyone on here, has a copy they'd be willing to sell, or if they'd be willing to send me a scan of the book (I am willing to pay for either). It would be greatly appreciated. Again, I apologize if these type of posts are not allowed, and I'll happily take it down if that's the case, but I just don't know where to turn to. |

I found a copy in my local bookstore for $5 around 6 or 7 years ago. I live relatively close to where it happened. I should keep my eyes open for more copies around here, but I'm also willing to scan it (maybe a chapter at a time) because I'm sure there are many fans who'd be curious. I haven't even read it yet, so I'm not totally opposed to selling it either, but it's still something that should be readily available unless there are serious copyright concerns on something so radically out of print...

I don’t know anything about the publishing industry. What would it take to get this book back into print or at lease a digital/Kindle version?

IDK about a Kindle version, but that book going back into print would never ever happen. And I kind of suspect that Kindle would never happen either. There would never be enough demand for it. It stinks that people gouge prices but when books are rare thats what happens. I think your best bet would be plunking down the money for it. Or Alistair scanning it. Or lol...tracking down Neal Hall online and asking him |
