The last season

The last season was odd to say the least. But it was not supposed to happen. In this interview Betty Garrett describers it was Cindy Williams that demanded another season. How strange since she ended up leaving the series at the beginning and when all the drama happened.
I swear before syndication it was called Laverne and Company. Why do I remember this? Anyone remember if they changed the name after Shirley left? I had never heard before that Cindy forced everyone to do another season based on a dream she had.
Pretty freaky stuff. IMHO "Do the Carmine" has to be one of the stupidest episodes of any sitcom ever

No ABC never changed the title of the show, instead they only had Laverne appear alone in the opening credits.

nope it stay the same. It was only changed once after season 1

Anyway, what a horrific last season. I change my vote. Do The Carmine is not the stupidest episode, its A Ghost Story. An invisible track star ghost haunts the apartment. Gosh were they out of ideas
