Default I Got About 2 Minutes of Airtime Last Night

on one of my new favorite programs, the host wanted people to call in and say how they handled the last 2+ yrs....I didn't hold too much back. it felt good.

It was a sorta cleansing, a couple others called with same sentiments.

If I called a show like that and was heard live on air,I would go thru something so they would have a harder time tracing the call back (FEDS,etc) because I WOULD DEF SPEAK THE TRUTH AND SPEAK MY MIND!!!

Congrats Carole!!

Well Dude, I spoke my mind and what I did, but didn't rant on and go nuts, I know better. I would have been knocked off the program. The man who ran the 2 hr program was doing us a courtesy to let us speak our stuff.

That's cool Caroline. I am always too shy to call into radio or tv. Good for you!

Penny, the only issue I've had over some yrs is trying to "get in" to the programs, so many are calling in and one can wait and wait and if the time runs out the show can be over and one didn't get to talk. Talking to thousands is so liberating.. If you find an occasion to do it, just do it. Be prepared to say as much as you can in the short time allotted.

I don't do it much anymore, but years ago I was a regular on call in radio shows. I started on sports shows when I was a teenager and then went on to political and general talk shows. Mostly NYC because national shows were so much harder to get through on. I've been on the air hundreds of times, maybe close to one thousand.

Over the years, I've spoken to a lot of celebrities who were guests on shows. Too many to name but the highlights were definitely Bob Hope and above all, Paul McCartney.

Some of the calls with politicians can get kind of heated, and you see what out of control egos they have. I really nailed Ed Koch once and he didn't like it. The biggest fight I was ever in was with Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda. He started screaming at me. Too bad it wasn't in person because I'm a head taller than he was and had 40 or 50 pounds on him. Of course I just yelled right back at him.

I just got another couple minutes today on how I've voted, one of my stations is conducting a segment for people to call in about the General Election and how they voted.
Mine was so easy. .

It won't come back, TJ does not want it. I'd like to see it, and people who just can't handle other's viewpoints, don't need to post. We can disagree peacefully. Truthfully, I'm so sick of politicians but they are here to stay and we need to get along as best we can.
