What is the name of the song that Ricky sings in an episode that goes............"Spirit in the wood, let the ? echo in the afterglow, waiting for the flame to burn again" This has been bugging me for so long. Was it in the Indian episode?

The song (which I love) is called "Similau."

You can hear it in episode #28, "Cuban Pals."

First off, I love the song 'Similau'.

I do have a question about the song though. Is this a really, really rare song? The only cd that I could find this song on is called Desi Arnaz: Cocktail Hour. I can't find it on any other Desi cd. Incidentally, I just bought that cd off ebay but I would still like to know why it isn't included in a best of collection or something. J/W

Y'know, I too just ordered that CD!

I thought about it a couple of months ago, but didn't buy it then. That's why I knew the song title. I've not seen it on any other Arnaz collections either.

I've seen that a few other people have recorded the song (Bobby Darin and Peggy Lee, in the USA, and various others), but it doesn't seem to be easy to get.

Perhaps it's hard to find because it is Cuban music, and there is not a great give-and-take between the US and Cuba.

It is such a beautiful piece of music. Someone should record it again.

I agree. It is a beautiful song, and Desi sings it so beautifully.
