Ellen and Days of Our Lives left the schedule, Kelly Clarkson moved to 3, and apparently it can't fill the earlier time slots.

NBC could just run Paid Programming between these 3 hours or have clips of Today show past episode segments with a scrolling message that says Subscribe to Peacock streaming programming for more choices.

News overkill on my locals has gotten worse since 2023 started. WPTA added another hour of news at 4PM where Dr. Phil was. Dr. Phil moved to 10AM where The Kelly Clarkson Show was. She is still seen on Fort Wayne's NBC at 4PM. That makes 3.5 straight hours of news including ABC's national version from 4-7:30PM. They did some other shuffling as well. The 25 Words or Less and Pictionary hour moved from noon on NBC to 1PM on My Network TV. 25 Words does remain at 5:30PM on NBC, which actually cut its 5PM newscast for another Pictionary. Elizabeth Vargas' crime show added another airing weekdays at noon on NBC where the game show hour was, also still airs after Nightline on ABC late nights. Between the Studs with Granite Ridge Builders (local show) follows iCrime at 12:30PM.
The expanded news on WPTA has unfortunately inspired WFFT to add newscasts to the 5PM and 6PM hour besides their primetime 10PM hour starting Monday. They had one of the few sitcom blocks worth watching on locals with The Neighborhood, Young Sheldon, and The Big Bang Theory from 5-8PM. Now Young Sheldon is moving to the 7PM hour, with TBBT shockingly getting sent to the 11PM hour where Two and a Half Men was. The Neighborhood is reduced from the 5PM hour to the midnight hour, and Two and a Half Men follows it at 1AM. Closing out the night is TMZ, Extra, and TMZ Live from 2-4AM. At least The Andy Griffith Show's noon hour is left intact.
