My Findings on potential compression issues

I recently compared my individually released seasons 4 and 5 with the versions from the complete series to see if any compression had occured due to the reduction in one single disc for both those seasons. They were intially a 4 disc set but became 3 discs when the complete series was released. I can say after my review that the quality is exactly the same. The picture wasn't compromised by the switch to 3 discs. However the quality was never stellar to begin with. By the time Shout Factory started releasing the remainder on the series there was no attempt to remaster the episodes. The quality isn't terrible but the first 3 seasons had way better quality when released by Sony. Still a great series release regardless.
