Default Grease 2

After Grease became a smash film of 1978 and launched the acting career of Olivia Newton-John to superstardom a sequel to Grease followed in 1982 called Grease 2. The film starred Maxwell Caulfield as Michael and a new character named Stephanie replaced Sandy. Grease 2 also featured actress Didi Conn and TJ Hooker star Adrian Zmed as we were introduced to a brand new cast of classmates at Rydell High as they prepared for their Hawaiian inspired prom. Grease 2 had an excellent soundtrack and a new theme song performed by The Four Tops and also featured songs like Score Tonight Cool Rider and Turn Back The Hands Of Time. And Maxwell Caulfield really shines on the song Let's Do It For Our Country and sounds amazing. My mom saw Grease 2 and she thought it was so cute and it's a shame that Grease 2 didn't perform well at the box office because it's a good sequel to Grease

It's a fun movie, no where as good as the original, but definitely better than its reputation.

It's one of those movies my wife and daughter like to watch together, I think that partly might because of Maxwell Caufield.

There was talk of Grease 3 with the original cast. From People Magazine in 2003....

John Travolta, Olivia Newton John Sought for 'Grease 3'

Paramount Pictures has announced that it is planning “Grease 3,” a sequel to the sequel of the original 1978 monster hit starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The setting of the new picture is to be the late-’70s, allowing for the use of plenty of disco music. (The Travolta-Newton-John original was set in the ’50s, with plenty of white-bread rock and show tunes taken from the Broadway “Grease”).

The story of the new movie will involve the children of Travolta and Newton-John’s characters (Danny and Sandy), and both Travolta, now 49, and Newton-John, 54, have been informed that their services will be sought for “Grease 3,” says the trade paper.

Also just found this, from after the sequel talk ended....

Grease 3 plot revealed

What would have happened in the sequel?

“Grease 3” is as dead as sunburnt skin, but that hasn’t stopped cast member Didi Conn from revealing the plotline for the potential film.

Conn, who would’ve reprised her role as Frenchy for the film, is so sure that the film will never happen now – apparently John Travolta nixed it, and others followed suit – that she’s let the cat out of the bag.

“Danny (Travolta) was a racing driver and still married to Sandy (Newton-John), who was a singer”, PR Inside quoted Conn as saying. “Rizzo (Stockard Channing) and Kenicke (Jeff Conoway) were divorced and had a gay son”.

As for Conn’s character, pink-haired ball of energy, Frenchy?

“Frenchy was a dog groomer”.

There was gonna be a Grease 3 in the works but it got cancelled? I find that hard to believe because it would've made a fine trilogy with Grease and Grease 2. It's a real surprise that John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John couldn't return for Grease 2 but what I think why Grease 2 was such a underrated sequel to Grease was because just like John Travolta in the first Grease they wanted to make Maxwell Caulfield a teen heartthrob and that's why I think the film was trying to be a successful sequel but couldn't. And now you don't hardly hear much about Maxwell Caulfield anymore these days and I think Paramount thought since fans liked the first Grease they thought Grease 2 would be a smash hit but failed to be

I bet 3 would have been better than 2!
