Are those the films that had a character named Seymour and he would be writing a book and while he wrote Seymour saw himself in different scenes getting ideas for his story? And if I remember correctly the song lyrics were "Every story has a beginning and an end" I thought the animation was weird but cool on those films because it made them look neat
