Question What is the worst add-on to a series?

When I'm talking about "add-on" I mean they add a new character or new replcement late-in-the-series, and It can be either a new child or baby or sometimes or perhaps It can be a new husband or wife etc. What do you think is the worst add-on to a series? I think my guess would most-likely be Cousin Oliver from The Brady Bunch because he didn't fit in. In your opinion what is the worst add-on character to a show/series?

I agree that Cousin Oliver was a bad add-on.

I also did not like the addition of Nicky and Alex on Full House. It was ok when they were babies but as they got older I thought that they were annoying little brats and the show would have been better off without them.

Cousin Oliver... bad, bad, BAD idea.

In the same kind of situation:

I didn't like it when they added that neighbor kid Ricky, played by Ricky Segal (sp?), to The Partridge Family. Sure he was cute, and this very young kid apparently really did write the songs that he sang (poorly, in my opinion), but he added nothing to the show. All he did was eat up air time. I don't think that his scenes ever had anything to do with the story being told in the episode.

Andy on Family Ties
Pam on The Cosby Show
Lana on Three's Company

Just any kids that are added on after the first season of a series.

The replacement of the mother on family matters very late in the series sucked.

When Seven was added to Married With Children

When Jerry was added to Roseanne, we hardly even seen him after she had him.

I have to agree with you guys.
Anytime a baby is brought into a long running series, that usaully means they have run out of ideas. You have the usual litany of pregnancy jokes, followed by the "very special" birth episode in which everyone runs aroung like crazy trying to get the Mom to the hospital, followed by the episodes devoted to such wonderful subjects like dirty daipers and breast feeding...
You get the point.
Then of course there it the miraculous time in a TV kid's development when they grow from a newborn to a six year old in one Summer hiatus! What are they feeding that kid!
Oh happy day, the child is now saying cute funny things! How precious!

Somebody shoot me!!!

I agree with TJL and Jenny. "Step by Step" added Lily and she aged to be a pre schooler over one season. And they, of course, had her insulting the other characters (especially JT and Frank) in a cute way, so cute it was disgusting. Don't blieve me? Watch SBS on ABC Family in the mornings, the good episodes come on in the evening.

Also from "Step by Step" I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE RICH HALKE!!!!!! I hated it SO much when they added him to the opening credits and they had that extra DORKY picture of him smiling. I GREW UP WATCHING THE SHOW FOR THE FIRST 6 YEARS OF MY LIFE AND THEY BRING IN THIS GEEK???!?!?!?!? TO QUOTE JENNIFER DENUCCIO: "GAG ME WITH A SPOON!!!!"

Alice - Both waitresses after Flo (I know Diane Ladd was in the movie)

Married...with Children Seven(he was so bad that they didnt even explain where he went)

227 - all the characters they tried as Jackee was leaving (Toukie Smith's character and Dylan McMillan)

Three's Company - Priscilla Barnes (Teri).
I like Suzanne (Chrissy) and even Jenilee (Cindy) much better than her.

Flintstones - anyone or thing past Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm

Happy Days - I know there were some.
