I've watched many TV shows from the late 60's and early '70's and noticed a lot of green walls and wood paneled walls. Now the wood paneled walls just fit due to that era when wood paneled walls were all the rage. Now the green painted walls could only be so that those still watching on B&W TVs could have a more pleasant view since the green color did well for contrast. Similar to the Munsters characters' makeup being purple even though their skin was oftened referenced as green.
Would there be any other reasons for such icky green paint being used? |

In the Sixties and Seventies, earth tones were big in decorating. You'd see a lot of lime green, avocado green, burnt orange, brown, etc.

I feel like this question was asked recently (within a couple of years) and a bunch of reasons were given, but I can't find the thread. Maybe TJ can locate it. He's good at the finding things bit.
