Except that TWA did not even serve Raleigh/Durham in the 1960s, much less fly nonstop to El-Lay! (This is the assumption that they took a bus to Raleigh which I think was mentioned in the episode.)
TWA was also used by the production company for Gomer Pyle where Carter goes home to Wichita to visit Ma and Gomer stows away on the plane and winds up shadowing Carter during his leave. Look closely though and you'll see the location shooting for both departure (El-Lay? San Diego?) and arrival (Wichita) airports was all done at LAX! |
