Hello Everyone,
As many of you here know, April 18, 2012 was a sad day in Entertainment as Dick Clark, age 82, died of a Massive Heart Attack at his Malibu home survived by his widow, Kari Wigton (whom he married on July 7, 1977--aka 7/7/77) and 3 grown children--including Dick Clark, Jr. (a TV Stage Manager known as RAC Clark) from his first marriage to teenage sweetheart Barbara Mallory, and fraternal boy-girl twins Duane & Cindy Clark with his 2nd ex-wife, Loretta Martin. Per his Obituary, the previous day, April 17, 2012, Dick Clark had a routine outpatient Procedure for his Enlarged Prostate at the local nearby Hospital, St. John's Health Center, in Santa Monica; while recuperating from the procedure, Dick Clark had a Massive Heart Attack the next day, April 18, 2012, at his Malibu home. TBH, I believe Dick Clark, if he NEVER had the Enlarged Prostate Procedure that I believe caused his fatal Heart Attack, would instead of being Deceased the last 10 years, still be VERY much alive helping Ryan Seacrest "Rock in the New Year" the last 10 years instead of Ryan doing so alone in the 10 years this year since Dick Clark's passing. I know if I were Dick Clark's Primary Care Doctor in California instead of a life-long fan of his work, I would have, because he'd already survived in 2004, at age 75, a Massive Stroke, said "Hell No!" to the Enlarged Prostate Procedure and instead given Dick Clark, as my Patient, Medication Pills such as, but not limited to, Hytrin, Carvedilol, Flomax, Avodart and Rapaflo. At least I believe if he'd been prescribed such Medications above, Dick Clark would still be alive today at age 92--still Physically Disabled, yes, after surviving his 2004 Massive Stroke, but most importantly, STILL ALIVE!!! Similarly, if I were his next of kin, I'd have immediately filed a Wrongful Death Lawsuit against the Hospital where he had the Outpatient Enlarged Prostate Procedure, stating that if he NEVER had such Procedure, he NEVER would have had the Massive Heart Attack that ended his life at the age of 82. Frankly, I admired Dick Clark moreso after he survived his Stroke than before--not just as a fan of his work, but because he gave hope to those with Physical Disabilities everywhere to NEVER, EVER give up on living. Anyhow, that's my opinion of the passing of Dick Clark and I'm sticking to it. |

When you look through the world of Dick Clark the first two things that come to mind are New Year's Rocking Eve and American Bandstand but besides those two shows people got to see a whole new different side of him when he began his debut as the host of the Pyramid series of game shows replacing John Davidson and when he became host of the Pyramid series it opened a lot of doors for him and Dick Clark had the markings of a game show host and you could see it in his personality. When he was asked to host CBS's Winning Lines it meant that this was his chance of being a Comeback Kid to game shows and while Winning Lines did poorly in ratings it certainly meant a strong comeback for Dick Clark returning to doing his second hobby which was game shows. But I think when Dick Clark had his stroke I think it made him feel unhappy and sad that he would be different now and doing things would be difficult for him. But when he passed away it truly was a huge loss not only for the world but the game show world as well
